Coli Sylla is a produced screenwriter and director whose African heritage and lived experience inform a bold, character-driven approach to storytelling. In 2024, he was named a Fellow in the DisabilityBelongs Entertainment Labs Fellowship. Sylla was also named one of ISA’s Top 25 Screenwriters to Watch, a recognition that followed his Grand Prize win in the 2022 Creative Screenwriting TV Pilot Competition. As an unrepped creative, Sylla has pitched HBO, Showtime, Annapurna TV, Macro TV Studios, and Proximity Media to name a few. As a docu-series producer, he has done deals with FremantleMedia North America and FishBowl Worldwide Media. Known for crafting emotionally charged, socially conscious dramas, he brings a fearless intensity to stories that explore mental health, identity, and justice.
